Bilt announces capacity expansion of Bhigwan Mill

Ballarpur Industries Limited has announced the expansion of its paper-manufacturing unit. The unit is situated in the MIDC industrial area of Bhigwan, Maharashtra, India and has been granted clearance from the Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board as well as the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, for manufacture of superior varieties of paper and paperboard.

Procter & Gamble announced that it will build a paper-products manufacturing plant. The plant will be situated in the Box Elder County, Utah, USA.

Procter & Gamble Family Care currently has five manufacturing sites in the United States: Albany, Ga.; Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Green Bay, Wis.; Mehoopany, Pa.; and Oxnard, Calif. The Box Elder County plant will be the first new Family Care manufacturing facility in the US.

Tencel facility worth €130m to be opened by Lenzing

The industrial-scale production facility, a first for Lenzing, is to be constructed for Tencel fibres, at an expected cost of €130m at the site in upper Austria.

With a production capacity annually of around 60,000 metric tonnes, a backwards integrated production of Tencel will be implemented at the new facility, which can be provided with pulp from a mill directly at the Lenzing site.

Tissue machine rebuilding by Metso at Sweden’s Svenska Pappersbruket Klippan mill

A contract has been awarded to Metso to deliver a PM 9 tissue machine major rebuild in Klippan, Sweden of Svenska Pappersbruket AB’s Klippan mill. According to a press release put out by the company and received by Lesprom Network, the rebuilt machine start-up is scheduled for the 2011 3Q.
