ABK is the successful merge of the experience of 3 well-known and talented companies, ALLIBE, BELOIT and KÜSTERS. Founded in 1952 by Mr. Aimé ALLIBE to promote and manufacture the patented pulping equipment under the name of ATELIERS ALLIBE S.A., the company has gradually extended its services and gained in expertise in the design and the manufacturing of complete paper machine. In 2000, a new board of directors, highly motivated and strongly believing in the potential of the company, led to the creation of the company ABK MACHINERY. ABK manufactures complete machines and equipment such as Hydraulic head boxes, Top formers, Hydraulic popes, Rewinders and Infrared dryers.

Hydraulic head boxes

Hydraulic head boxes of type PF-0 have been specially designed for the forming drums (cylinder moulds) application. Different designs of Hydraulic head boxes are available depending on the final application and type of drums, either the classic type Hydraulic head boxes or Hydraulic head boxes with vacuum application. With their Hydraulic head boxes feeding system (spider), one will obtain regular CD basis weight and humidity profiles at the end of the forming section otherwise unavailable with traditional Vats of immersion type. Headbox of PF-I type (pressurized with rectifier rolls) is of classic conception. PF-II and PF-III Hydraulic head boxes ensure a top quality formation and fiber orientation for machine speeds over 600 m/min.

Hydraulic popes

Hydraulic popes of ABK have bump less transfer from the primary to the secondary arms. The reeling curves of Hydraulic popes can also be programmed by the operators. The arm movements of Hydraulic popes are perfectly synchronized and there are no liaison torque bars between the secondary arms. CPT (Couple, Pressure and Tension) of Hydraulic popes being the top-of-the-line, where the reel spools translate and it is the reel drum that moves in the vertical plane. All elements of Hydraulic popes are driven, reels, spools and reel drum.

Top formers

Top formers of ABK, type Vacuall-HD has a drainage capacity up to 4.5 l/min/mm. Depending on the process and final product characteristics, they will propose the best position of the Top formers for your application. The Vacuall will improve more or less, the formation of the sheet (look-through and macro-roughness) of Top formers, fiber orientation of Top formers, symmetry of the fiber and filler distribution and resulting 2-sidedness of Top formers, high dispersion of fines of Top formers, Fourdrinier drainage capability and/or productivity of Top formers and sheet dryness at Fourdrinier outlet of Top formers.

Rewinders and Infrared dryers

Rewinders of high speed of type ABK H.S.1 is of heavy design. Rewinders and Infrared dryers are of modular construction. Due to the modular construction of the Rewinders, the modules of the winder are isolated from each other and no vibrations are transferred from section to section. Visibility of the paper on machine is optimized to make easier the operators’ work and the access of the maintenance personnel.

Infrared dryers IDRY unit special features lies in the design of the InfraRay™ emitters. Infrared dryers’ emitter efficiency is higher. The screen of Infrared dryers protects the radiating surface against coating splashes and other contamination that can reduce emitter lifetime. Kit design including replaceable screen in the Rewinders and Infrared dryers cut your operation and maintenance costs. These Rewinders and Infrared dryers reflect expertise and knowledge gathered over many years.
